Bok is an iconic 340,000 sq. ft. building in South Philadelphia which has been lovingly transformed over the past 6 years into a creative facility for artisans, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits. Today, the building is home to over 220 unique businesses and growing, featuring a diverse program of events including craft fairs, design conferences, social events, and community programming. The Business Intern role provides a unique opportunity for an ambitious and talented individual to contribute to this exciting project.

Scout is looking for a part-time (minimum 20 hours per week) Spring Business Intern at Bok that has an interest in real estate development to join our team for twelve (12) weeks. Our hope is that you will sharpen your skills and learn about Bok as a business while providing support to the team.

We’re looking for critical thinkers, with an array of skills, who can creatively and enthusiastically bring a new perspective to our dedicated team.


  • Analyzing / organizing data regarding tenancy, compliance and community engagement at Bok

  • Preparing and presenting data-rich informational narratives and visualizations

  • Identifying opportunities by applying practical analyses

  • Project meeting coordination

  • Developing and/or analyzing market research to gather both qualitative and quantitative information and synthesize into actionable insights for Scout Management

  • Providing general administrative support



  • Full-time enrollment in a Bachelor or Masters Degree program at an accredited college or university. Your educational background should be in one of the following fields: business administration, real estate development, urban planning or finance.

  • Working knowledge of at least one of the following areas: financial modeling, market research, drafting/editing proposals, is preferred

  • Advanced-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Highly self-motivated and extremely well organized.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Open and collaborative team member able to problem solve with others.

  • Proof of full vaccination is required.
