About Scout

Scout is an urban design and development practice focused on creative reuse within vacant buildings and spaces in ways that are both playful and mindful. With a mix of expertise - from design to project management and community engagement - we bring a thoughtful pragmatism to our work. We value people and aspire to design spaces that are resilient, inclusive and equitable.

Our largest project to date has been the transformation of the iconic Bok Building in South Philadelphia. The thoughtful rehabilitation of the historic 340,000 square foot building has been recognized by ULI Philadelphia, the Congress for New Urbanism and recently shortlisted for the Rebirth award by Dezeen. Scout is also currently working on reimagining the historic Cranston Street Armory (Providence, RI) into a ‘castle of the people’ in addition to 50 Sims, an adaptive reuse project of a former manufacturing complex (Providence, RI).
