Scout is an urban design and development practice focused on creative reuse within vacant buildings and spaces in ways that are both playful and mindful. With a mix of expertise - from design to project management and community engagement - we bring a thoughtful pragmatism to our work.

Our largest project to date has been the transformation of the iconic Bok Building in South Philadelphia. The thoughtful rehabilitation of the historic 340,000 square foot building has been recognized by ULI Philadelphia, the Preservation Alliance and was awarded the Charter Prize by the Congress for New Urbanism. Scout is currently working on the reimagining of the historic Cranston Street Armory in Providence, RI into a ‘castle of the people’ in addition to an adaptive reuse project of a former manufacturing complex.
